COLEMAN—Cougar Shell District Manager, Don Webb, holds a sign that says it all—$1 million winning ticket sold here!
On Sept. 24, a Coleman man claimed a $1 million top prize from the Ultimate Millions scratch game after purchasing his winning ticket from the Cougar Shell, 200 Sunset Ave, in Coleman.
According to Wisconsin-demographics.com and based on recent United States Census Bureau data, Coleman’s population is 726, ranking as the 430th most populated city in Wisconsin.
After learning of the million-dollar winner, owner Kurt Boulanger, happily said, “I’m glad it was a local person in our small community that won.”
Boulanger and his wife Vickie are the owners and operators of five locations where Wisconsin Lottery tickets are available. He said the $1 million Ultimate Millions scratch game ticket is the largest winning ticket he’s ever sold. Cougar Shell will receive $20,000 as part of the Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive for selling the winning ticket.
The Ultimate Millions game started Aug. 27, offering more than 95,000 prizes ranging from $30 to $1 million. The odds of winning one of the two top prizes are 1 in 160,000.
