MENOMINEE—Before attending Thanksgiving festivities with a cold, it might be wise to determine whether to go based on who’s going—that slight cough could be Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), according to a local health expert.

“If you are really sick and especially if you’re going to be around elderly relatives and little relatives, maybe you should stay home—certainly if you’re feverish,” said Jennie Miller, immunization and communicable disease coordinator for Public Health Delta Menominee Counties.
