"Great news that the marijuana dispensary lawsuit is finally over in the Circuit Court. There should’ve never been such a lengthy delay on such an important public issue. But now what happens if the plaintiffs win on appeal? The Menominee City Council should continue to seek a settlement with the plaintiffs and allow for unlimited licenses for recreational dispensaries in an effort to close the black-market marijuana pipeline to heroin, fentanyl, meth, etc. We also need the wider range of high-quality CBD products the greater number of dispensaries will bring to the area. CBD is good for treating addictions among other things.

"To close the black-market will require unbridled competition for profits that only more dispensaries will bring to the area. The dictatorial communist approach of limiting economic development and growth proposed by Mayor Stegeman will not work to achieve this goal.
