Dear Editor,

There is an easy solution to the “980” sex offenders needing housing. Put a double-wide next to the Marinette County Jail.

The sex offenders can use the jail for the bathroom and meals. No television and no internet. Build a fence around the trailer and a door into the jail. Charge the state the maximum amount allowed and put that money towards paying for the double-wide. If it works out well a second one can be added and so on as needed.

The sheriff and other department employees can easily check on the sex offenders while they are in the office. It is my guess that no sex offender will want to come to Marinette County for the bare-bones accommodations.

What do my fellow taxpayers and voters think?
