PEMBINE — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WI DOT) is scheduled to start bridge rehabilitation on U.S. 8/U.S. 141 on the bridge over the Pem Bon Won River, Wisconsin Central Ltd Railroad and Crain Lane in the Town of Pembine. The construction is scheduled to take place from Tuesday through October.
This 0.2-mile project includes repairs to the concrete bridge deck along with placement of a new concrete deck overlay, expansion joint replacement, replacing the existing wing walls, and upgrades to the concrete bridge parapet walls. The bridge rehabilitation will cost $1.1 million.
The crew will replace the existing east asphaltic shoulder, modify the existing pavement markings and begin work to install the temporary concrete barrier wall June 7-11.
U.S. 8/U.S. 141 will remain open with temporary traffic signals to allow one lane of traffic to cross the bridge.
