MARINETTE — The City of Marinette Clerk reminded voters that they can find the most accurate information about voting at myvote.wi.gov/ including where their polling place is and whether their registration is current.

My Vote Wisconsin also has sample ballots so voters can familiarize themselves with their choices before they arrive in the voting booth. People who do not have internet access can check their status with their municipal clerk’s office. Voters also are offered the opportunity to download the absentee ballot request form on the myvote.wi.gov/ web site.

Voters can also cast an absentee ballot at the City of Marinette Clerk’s Offices, 1905 Hall Ave., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the first day to cast an absentee ballot at the Clerk’s Office beginning Oct. 20. The deadline for voting an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office is 1 p.m., Oct. 31. The City Clerk’s office is offering special hours Oct. 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those voters who cannot make the scheduled hours.

To register on Election Day, Wisconsin voters must provide a proof of residence document and a photo ID. It can be a Wisconsin driver license or state ID card with the voter’s current address. It can also be a current utility bill, lease, university ID card or other official document showing the voter’s name and current address. For a list of acceptable documents, people may visit the website elections.wi.gov. People must be a resident of a ward for 28 consecutive days to register.
