Drug possession nets prison term
MARINETTE—A Marinette man will serve time in prison for a drug crime.
Kevin G. Block, 22, 539 Water St., was sentenced in Marinette County Circuit Court Branch 2 to two years in prison for possession of amphetamine/LSD/Psilocin. The sentence is followed by two years extended supervision.
Felony charges of maintain drug trafficking house and possession of methamphetamine were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes. Two misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance were dismissed but read in for sentencing purposes.
Block received 90 days in jail for a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. That sentence will follow the prison term.
The offense happened on June 27, 2020, and Block entered a no contest plea on Sept. 1.
