Woman sentenced on drug charges
MARINETTE—A 29-year-old western Wisconsin woman will serve several years in prison for drug-related crimes.
Crystal S. Barthel, Hayward, Wisconsin, was sentenced last week in Marinette County Circuit Court Branch 2 to a total of seven years in prison, followed by a total of eight years extended supervision.
Barthal was sentenced to six years in prison followed by six years supervision for possession with intent to deliver amphetamines (more than 50 grams). She also was sentenced to one year in prison and two years extended supervision for bail jumping. That sentence will run consecutively to the first sentence.
Barthel had 10 other charges dismissed, but read in for sentencing purposes. They include three felony charges of bail jumping, felony charges of maintain drug trafficking place and possession of methamphetamine and four misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor charge of possess/illegally obtained prescription.
The offenses happened on Sept. 24, 2020, and Barthel entered no contest pleas on Nov. 19, 2020.
