■ Joseph Phelps was taken into custody on a hold through probation and parole at 3:08 p.m. Tuesday at 1345 Merryman St.

■ Marla Schuck reported Tuesday theft of a red and black Huffy Mountain bicycle from 101 Water St.

■ Deputies were dispatched at 3:28 p.m. July 16 to a suspicious situation in Nadeau Township. The complainant stated a suspicious vehicle was parked near a business and no one was around but a cell phone was lying on the front seat. Upon further investigation, the owner of the vehicle was located in Escanaba after having hitched a ride in a semi trailer, unbeknownst to the driver. The subject was warned of criminal trespass of a business property and was released.

■ While at a Nadeau Township residence conducting a different investigation, at 4:25 p.m. July 16, a deputy was asked to make a report on a stolen bicycle. The subject said he had purchased a new bike for his son and it was missing from their lawn.

■ A deputy responded to a two-vehicle crash at 6:52 July 16 on 46.5 Lane in Harris Township. An ORV driven by Kyle Starnes, 19, Bark River, failed to stop at the stop sign on the Felch Grade Trail to cross 46.5 Lane and was hit by a pickup truck driven by Ernest Reimber, 41, Escanaba. No injuries were reported.

■ A deputy received a call at 10:50 a.m. July 17 about a suspicious vehicle. The caller gave a description of the vehicle, as well as the direction it was last seen heading, to the deputy. The deputy conducted a traffic stop to make contact with the driver, a 26-year-old Escanaba man. The man was arrested for driving with a revoked license.

■ Deputies, along with local fire departments, were dispatched at 1:40 p.m. July 17 to an area of M-35 in Ingallston Township for a report of missing boaters. The caller was concerned because two subjects left land in an inflatable kayak and had not been seen for over an hour. They did not have a cellphone with them. The boaters were located, unharmed.

■ Deputies were dispatched at 5:28 p.m. July 17 to an address in Daggett Township for a possible breaking and entering complaint. A passerby noticed that the residence appeared as though someone had broken in and entered.

■ A deputy was dispatched to Old U.S. 2 and 41 in Spalding Township at 10:53 p.m. July 17 for a report of a camper in the ditch with no one around. Further investigation revealed that the owner was towing the camper and did not realize the trailer detached from his vehicle until the following day. The camper was towed from the ditch and its owner was informed of its location.

■ A deputy was dispatched at 12:28 p.m. July 18 for a report of a subject driving recklessly in the Village of Daggett. The vehicle was located and it was found that the driver, Kyle Bardin, 20, Escanaba, did not have a license. He was arrested for no license.
