Bulldogs fall short against Tigers

WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis.—Too many second-chance points doomed the No. 4 seeded Peshtigo boys basketball team in a 73-53 loss to No. 1 seeded Wrightstown in Friday’s WIAA Division 3 Regional semifinal game.

The Tigers (22-4) scored 15 points off second-chance opportunities to hold off the Bulldogs (13-10) despite Peshtigo outrebounding Wrightstown by a 29-26 margin. The Bulldogs found themselves down 34-31 at halftime and were outscored 39-22 in the second half as the Tigers put an end to Peshtigo’s season.

Adam Bauman led the Bulldogs with 20 points while Landon Lemke tacked on 11 and Mason Doberstein chipped in nine. Sam Haese led the Tigers with 22 points as Joe Hella added 16 and Jack Van Zeeland finished with 15.
