Bulldogs pick up Packerland win
PESHTIGO—Adam Bauman shot a low round of 35 to lead the Peshtigo boys golf team to a Packerland Conference victory at Vernon Hills Golf Course on Monday.
With Bauman one stroke under par, Jordan Carvenough was hot on his heels with a par-36, as the Bulldogs shot a collective 155 to take first place. Host-school Oconto finished in the runner-up spot with a 177 while Sturgeon Bay shot a 209 to take home third.
Grant Bauman (40), Christian Boyle (44) and Carson Collins (45) rounded out the day for Peshtigo.
“We are starting to see the consistent play we were hoping for at the start of the season. Having Adam at one under par and Jordan shooting even par for the nine holes is a luxury we are very happy to see,” Bulldogs head coach Jim Dufrane said. “It’s exciting to see the players take what they are learning at practice and use it so well on the course during tournament play.”
Next up for Peshtigo is a trip to Peninsula State Park Golf Course in Ephraim, Wis. on Thursday. Tee-time is 4 p.m.
