MENOMINEE — The Upper Peninsula Sportswriters & Sportscasters Association released its second U.P. football poll, and while Pickford still remains on top of the Eight Player category there has been some movement in Eleven Player.

Marquette (3-1) has overtaken Gladstone (2-1), who suffered its first loss of the season. The Redmen lead Sault Ste. Marie (3-1) by just one point with 20 and the Soo sits at 19, one ahead of Kingsford (3-1) in third.

Gladstone fell to fourth while Iron Mountain (4-0) and Negaunee (3-1) are tied for fifth and Calumet (1-2) is in seventh.

In Eight Player, Pickford (4-0) still holds the edge over North Central (4-0) and Munising (4-0). With Stephenson’s loss to Munising, the Eagles fell to sixth and Cedarville slides in to No. 5.
