BROWN DEER, Wis.—The M&M Stingrays swim team traveled to the YMCA Age 11-and-Over State Swim Meet on March 20 and saw all four of its swimmers put in strong showings.

Marshall Bennett (14) had the best finish of the weekend for the Stingrays after capturing third place in the 200 Breaststroke event with a time of 2:31.28, shaving 3.54 seconds off his previous best time in the process. Bennett also took home seventh in the 100 Breaststroke (1:09.76) and finished tenth in the 500 Freestyle after swimming a 5:44.53.

Sadie Betzinger (11) brought home sixth in the 50 Backstroke (31.34) to go along with a pair of eighth-place finishes in the 100 Individual Medley (1:09.91) and the 100 Butterfly (1:09.44). Betzinger swam a 30.90 in the 50 Butterfly to finish seventh before taking tenth in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:09.55.

Ethan Howarth (14) finished eighth in the 200 Backstroke (2:23.69) and recorded a time of 1:04.10 in the 100 Backstroke, which was good enough for 13th. A time of 25.70 gave Howarth a 22nd-place finish in the 50 Freestyle.

Tylee Buscher (12) was the final swimmer for the Stingrays and brought home a 13th-place finish in the 50 Freestyle (27.94) in addition to finishing 16th in the 50 Breaststroke (37.65) and 23rd in the 50 Back (33.16)

Stingrays coach Lenny Sipple said that he feels very good having four swimmers at the YMCA State Meet after the swimmers had to deal with a tough year and they all put in hard work.

Buscher (12)—13th, 50 Free, 27.94; 16th, 50 Breast, 37.65; 23rd, 50 Back, 33.16.
