Hornets sting St. Joe’s

MENOMINEE—The Menominee Hornets 8th Grade football team defeated Green Bay St. Joe’s 42-12 on Saturday behind three passing touchdowns from Tanner Theuerkauf.

The win evens the Hornets’ record at 2-2.

Theuerkauf threw for 173 yards and added another 56 on the ground. Blake Paasch accounted for two scores (one rushing, one throwing) while racking up 101 yards while Landen Gaigneau caught three balls for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Clayton Miller scored on a 37-yard touchdown run and found the endzone again on a 51-yard catch.

The Hornets forced four interceptions, with Dawson Bardowski notching two of them while Mason Kodric and Landen Peterson each had one. Cole Cooper registered a quarterback sack while Brennan Swanson led the team with nine pancake blocks and seven tackles.
