LENA—Chaela Rabas poured in a game-high 19 points as the Lena girls basketball team pulverized Bowler 64-16 in non-conference action on Tuesday.
Rabas was one of three Wildcats to score in double-digits, with Whitney Potter and Natalie McNurlen each chipping in 13 points.
Lena (2-0) built a 38-11 halftime lead behind 3-pointers from McNurlen and Rabas, and held the Panthers (0-4) to just five points in the second half.
The Wildcats were also strong at the free throw line, knocking down nine of 15 attempts.
Isabella Stevens led Bowler with seven points while Brandi Spencer and Ava Paiser both finished with three.
Lena hosts Coleman in the Marinette and Oconto Conference opener for both teams on Tuesday. The game begins at 7:15 p.m.

Green Bay NEW Lutheran 54, Crivitz 36
GREEN BAY—The Crivitz girls basketball team let victory slip away in a 54-36 loss to Green Bay NEW Lutheran in Tuesday’s non-conference matchup.
The Wolverines (0-2) held a slim 20-19 edge at halftime but allowed the Blazers (1-1) to score 35 points in the second half while limited Crivitz to just 16 points.
The Blazers won the game largely on the strength of their free throw shooting, hitting 19-26 shots from the charity stripe, including nine in the second half.
Lucy Gruszynski, Kate Richlen and Bailey Jose-Bemis all scored six points for Crivitz. McKenna Sellen, Nilea Guns and Cilena Guns each contributed four points while Lilli Watson and Taya Werner finished with three.
Gabi Hillmann and Leah Schmidt each had 14 points for the Blazers. Ava Rueth added 11 and Brynn Rice had 10.
Crivitz travels to Marinette to face Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy on Tuesday before hosting Lena on Friday. Tuesday’s game begins at 7 p.m.

OCONTO—Kadin Baxter outdueled Connor Taylor to help the Oconto boys basketball team pick up a 74-60 non-conference victory over Laona-Wabeno on Tuesday.
Baxter scored a game-high 24 points, out-pacing Laona-Wabeno’s Taylor (23 points) and Carter Janesch (21 points).
The Blue Devils (1-0) led 40-27 at halftime and shot 7-13 from the free throw line.
Christian Koch backed up Baxter’s big game with 13 points while Luke Krueger added 12.
Oconto travels to Southern Door for its Packerland Conference opener on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
