GREEN BAY — The Marinette girls tennis team recorded a clean sweep of Green Bay West on Friday.
The Marines went a perfect 7-0 against the Wildcats, with No. 1 singles Kate Schwaba taking care of Kyra Brosig in straight sets 6-1 and 6-2.
No. 2 singles Chloe Campbell didn’t allow a single point to Zola Kambandu Schilz, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. No. 3 Emily Tickler defeated Emelyn Lopez Villarreal 6-2, 7-5 to wrap up singles play for Marinette.
Marinette’s dominance continued in doubles action, with the No.1 pairing of Alyssa Greenwood and Violet John handling Rowan Clark and Soleil Paul 6-0, 6-0. The No. 2 duo of Megan Eranchek and Lydia Greenwood and the No. 3 team of Gjana Larson and Adri Peterson both won their matches by default.
The Marines host Fox Valley Lutheran at the Civic Center courts on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
