Maroon JV pummel Marines

MENOMINEE—Kaiden Bell accounted for four touchdowns to help the Menominee JV football team defeat Marinette 49-14 on Thursday.

Landan Bardowski scored the game’s opening touchdown on a 2-yard run before Bell tossed a 27-yard scoring strike to Eli Beal that made it a 13-0 game after one quarter of play.

Marinette cut the deficit to seven early in the second quarter, but Bell powered in two touchdown runs (21-yards and 10-yards) and then lofted a 7-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Brunelle as Menominee took a 33-6 lead at halftime.

Bradowski increased the Maroons’ lead to 35 with a 10-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter before the Marines countered with a touchdown run of their own in the fourth. Cole Roush tacked on a 6-yard score to seal the deal for Menominee.

Bell completed three of eight passes for 61 yards and two touchdowns while piling on 134 yards and two scores on the ground. Bradowski led Menominee in rushing with 16 carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Beal and Aiden Nerat both caught one pass for 27 yards, with Beal scoring a touchdown, while Brunelle hauled in one grab for seven yards and a score.

Menominee (2-0) hosts Gladstone on Thursday at 5 p.m.

Marinette travels to Freedom on Thursday at 5 p.m.
