GLADSTONE—Menominee’s Attica Brandt finished in the top-10 at the Gladstone Farmhouse Invitational on Wednesday.

Brandt crossed the finish line with a time of 22:58.7, putting her in seventh place overall and giving her the highest individual finish for both the Maroon girls and boys teams.

Marquette nabbed the top-two spots, with Monet Argeropoulos (21:43.8) taking first and Courtney Larson (21:58.3) in second. Gladstone’s Jamisyn Bergeron was third after running a 22:07.8.

The Redettes finished first as a team with a score of 23. Gladstone (37) was second, Escanaba (78) was third and Kingsford (108) was fourth.

Menominee, Manistique and Holy Name were all non-scoring teams.

Hayden Buck (24:45.3) finished 16th overall while Mikakah Mead (25:59.1) was 18th to wrap up the day for the Maroon girls.

On the boys side, Menominee finished fifth overall as team with a combined score of 123, edging out sixth-place Manistique (139) by 16 points.

Marquette captured the top spot in the boys competition with a score of 20. Escanaba (66) was second, Gladstone (74) was third and Kingsford (115) was fourth.

Holy Name was a non-scoring team.

The Maroon boys were paced by Aden Short, who finished 20th after running a 21:24.7. Brock Murphy came in 24th with a time of 21:47.7, Evan Casey (21:57.0) was 28th and Daniel Birch (22:17.4) was 30th, giving Menominee four runners in the top-30.

Dawson Allgeyer (22:36.3) finished 32nd with Steven Zavala (22:48.1) close behind in 33rd.

Gladstone’s Drew Hughes finished first overall individually after posting a time of 16:47.0. Marquette’s Carson (17:03.1) and Colin Vanderschaaf (17:42.5) finished second and third, respectively.

Menominee hosts the GNCs on Thursday at 3 p.m.
