OSHKOSH, Wis.—The M&M Stingray swim team competed in the Oshkosh YMCA Champions meet Nov. 19-21.

Two Stingrays were able to swim with two different champions, with Sadie Betzinger (12) taking part in the 100 individual medley event with NCAA champion Ally McHugh, while Kenley Bruette (9) competed with 2021 Olympian Phoebe Bacon in the 200 freestyle.

Betzinger finished third in the IM after swimming a time of 1:08.61, trimming 1.3 seconds off her prior best time. Bruette captured sixth overall with a time of 40.53.

Betzinger also broke the team record for the 200 IM, finishing in 2:52.23 and breaking Marin Park’s record (2:26.26) set back in November of 2017.

Adrianna Getzloff (15) swam a USA and YMCA state cut time of 2:24.59 in the 200 backstroke, taking 3.41 off her previous personal-best in the process.

Competing against a field of 645 swimmers, the Stingrays came away with nine top-three finishes.

Coach Lenny Sipple said that for his team to swim so well and to compete at such a high level is outstanding and that every swimmer performed well.

The Stingrays are off until Dec. 10, when the team hosts its first home meet of the season.
