NEENAH, Wis. — Three Marinette Marines cross country runners earned all-conference honors at the North Eastern Conference Championship held at Winagamie Golf Course in Neenah on Thursday.

Junior Hadley Reines and senior Sam Pieper were named 2nd team All-NEC while sophomore Ryan Demmith earned an all-conference honorable mention.

The Marine girls finished with a team score of 109 which put them in 5th place. Freedom was 1st with a 37, Fox Valley Lutheran finished 2nd with 65 and Luxemburg-Casco (72) was third. On the boys side, Freedom and Little Chute tied for 1st with a score of 49 while Fox Valley Lutheran was third with a 58. With only three runners, the Marines' score was deemed "incomplete".

Reines was the Marines top performer at Winagamie, finishing 13th with a time of 21:25.72 while Pieper ran a 21:43.02 to take home 15th place. Grace Jones (22:33.63) was 25th and Molly Knutson was close behind in 27th with a 22:37.31. Ava Dahlman finished 29th after posting a time of 23:03.91 while Maya Carviou nabbed 35th by finishing in 23:55.76. Karissa Valitchka (27:58.17) was 48th to round out the day for the Marine girls.

On the boys side, Demmith finished 23rd with a time of 18:48.79, Alec Queever's 19:08.34 put him in 28th and Rodney Hollar (23:34.24) was 57th.
